By contacting the MUSE Operations Department or the MUSE Watch Officer (after hours for emergencies) at the earliest opportunity will ensure a smoother deployment of any MUSE asset. Additionally, early communication will provide MUSE with ample warning time, allowing technicians to begin selecting and preparing equipment, coordinating required administrative tasks and identify any potential long lead items or areas.
MUSE is authorized to begin preparing equipment with a verbal commitment from the using activity, however, MUSE cannot ship or commit funding without a formal, endorsed request as outlined in the BMS B-5.2.16.
