If shredding is your only method of destruction of paper-based National Security Information material, we recommend that
you purchase an NSA approved high security shredder. The list of NSA approved high security shredders may be
obtained by calling the NSA National Information Assurance Service Center at (800) 688-6115 or visiting the
Media Destruction Guidance page on the National Security Agency's website.
Burning, pulverizing, and pulping are still considered as approved methods for terminal destruction.
