WHY MUSE?
If you are looking for a challenge, want to become a part of a small team with tremendous impact, and want to become a technician in the field of power generation and transformation, then MUSE may be the right fit for you.

WHAT DOES A MUSE TECHNICIAN DO?

  • Functions as a part of a small, technically focused team to ensure energy resilience to the U.S. Navy and DoD components worldwide.

  • Serves as utilities subject matter expert to provide technical solutions to complex problems.

  • Install, troubleshoot, and repair MUSE assets worldwide by performing diagnostics with advanced test gear.

PROGRAM ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:

  • All Seabee rates, E1-E6

  • Warfare qualified

  • ASVAB score (AR + 2 MK+GS) must = 222 or greater

    *If ASVAB scores do not meet requirements and an ASVAB retake is not a realistic option, applicants can request to take the Basic Math and Science Test (BMST)
     

  • No evaluation performance mark below 3.0 in 36 months prior to application

  • No NJP’s or serious civil convictions in last 36 months

  • Must be currently within PFA guidelines

  • Must be able to qualify for unrestricted government travel card

  • Eligible for secret security clearance

  • Must have sufficient enlistment time to complete school prior to transfer

  • Must obliserve for 60 months upon completion of PPPSC training

  • Must be cleared for overseas and deployable sea duty
