The Program Management Division, known as EX2, is responsible for the life cycle management of all expeditionary products and services that fall under the purview of Naval Facilities System Command assignment. The division director, and subordinate program managers coordinate and prioritize resources across projects; operate through the planning, programming, budgeting and execution cycle to make adjustments as law and policy change, technology evolves, obsolescence occurs, and funding varies; modify metrics, staffing and training, and acquisition methods to improve performance, and communicate with clients and resource sponsors to establish performance criteria. The principles of program management are applicable at all levels as resources and risks are managed to obtain optimum performance over the long-term.
In addition to the staff of program managers, the division director has embedded support staff to enable the overall reporting, performance monitoring, requirements planning, coordination, metric, and skills and training management.
