This contract provides for bridge inspection and assessment services. Work will be performed within the Naval Facilities Engineering and Expeditionary Warfare Center, NAVFAC EXWC, area of operations and will be completed by December 2029. Fiscal 2025 Navy working capital funds in the amount of $10,000 will be obligated at time of award and will expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was competitively procured via SAM.gov in a combined synopsis/solicitation, with six offers received. NAVFAC EXWC, Port Hueneme, California, is the contracting activity (N39430-25-D-2000).
"This contract includes bridge inspections for Navy and Marine Corps bridges worldwide in accordance with federal standards and regulations. This requirement is to ensure military installation bridges can safely and reliably carry civilian and military vehicular, railroad, and pedestrian traffic, and all bridges inspected, operated, and maintained by military agencies meet the same standards to which bridges under U.S. civilian jurisdictions are subject," said JP Messier, program lead in the EXWC Oceans Department.
