Class 5 and Class 6 GSA approved security filing cabinets are manufactured in accordance with Federal Specification
AA-F-358K.

Cabinets designated as special size (except Class 6 size VIII) are for use in mobile or transportable tactical communication assemblages where, through installation, they will become an integral part of the assemblage.
All filing cabinet styles come with a lock meeting Federal Specification
FF-L-2740B.
Multiple lock configurations have one lock on each drawer.
Class 5 cabinets are only available in two and four drawer legal size configurations and can have multiple locks.
They are resistant to 20 man-hours surreptitious entry, 30 man-minutes covert entry and 10 man-minutes forced entry.
Class 6 cabinets are available in one, two, four, or five drawer legal or letter size configurations and can have multiple locks.
They are resistant to 20 man-hours surreptitious entry, 30 man-minutes covert entry. They do not have forced entry requirements.
