Pedestrian Door Deadbolt Devices

Pedestrian door deadbolt devices are intended for use on pedestrian doors for secure areas and Sensitive Compartmented Information Facilities (SCIFs) and include a combination lock that meets Federal Specification FF-L-2740B as applicable. The devices are approved under FF-L-2890C wth Type I through Type IV and Type VII through Type X all meeting life safety requirements. It is important to check with your local fire marshal (Authority Having Jurisdiction - AHJ) prior to procurement to identify life safety requirements. This will help you identify which pedestrian door deadbolt device you should use for your facility. All types of pedestrian door devices are right and left hand interchangeable.

DLA is currently working to establish NSNs for all Door Extension Types for manufacturers' products.
